Ailbhe O' Neill MIACP
Ailbhe has extensive experience in the field of counselling and psychotherapy, dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and improve their mental health. Her approach is integrative, combining various therapeutic techniques to tailor sessions to each client's unique needs. Holding a BA (Hons) Level 8 in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, Ailbhe possesses a deep understanding of psychological theories and practical skills to support diverse client populations.
As a person-centred therapist, Ailbhe emphasises creating a non-judgmental, empathic environment where clients feel heard and valued. This approach empowers individuals to find their own solutions and develop greater self-awareness and self-acceptance. Ailbhe is adept at crisis intervention, possessing strong skills in assessing and managing crises effectively while providing support and guidance to individuals in distress.

As a fully accredited member of the IACP (Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), Ailbhe abides by their code of ethics to ensure client safety, confidentiality and well-being. This commitment to ethical practice includes maintaining professional boundaries, obtaining informed consent and engaging in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in the field.​

In addition to Ailbhe's core qualification, she has also completed training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Practitioner Training, safeTALK and suicide prevention, Children First training, and awareness training in working with gender, sexual and relationship diverse clients. She holds a Certificate in Working Online with Adolescent Clients, as well as Telemental Health and Online Assessments.
